Web Design: Institute for Mathematics and its Applications Website

IMA, the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications at the University of Minnesota, is an applied mathematics think-tank that works with experts around the world to solve real-world problems with math. They needed a comprehensive website design that speaks to three distinct audiences: visitors to the campus and the program, who need to find event-specific information and directions, scientists who seek program information, and funders/laypeople who need overview information about the organization and its impact. We created a homepage that focuses on stories that speak to the organization's impact, while sharing real estate with a calendar of events, program information highlights, and news features. A robust site-wide navigation system and clean layout make it easy to find information throughout the site. Windmill Design provided the design for this project, while the IMA completed the website development internally.
